Successful Transcatheter Mitral Repair in a High-Risk Post-CABG Patient

A 75-year-old gentleman with prior CABG, severe degenerative mitral regurgitation and refractory heart failure was evaluated by our Heart Team. With all grafts patent and surgical risk deemed prohibitive, we proceeded with Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Mitral Repair (M-TEER).

  • High-risk post-CABG profile
  • Severe symptomatic MR not responding to medical therapy
  • Successful M-TEER with MyClip device (indigenous TEER system)
  • Marked symptomatic and haemodynamic improvement
  • Safe discharge in stable condition

This case highlights the role of a multidisciplinary Heart Team and advanced transcatheter options in offering safer, less invasive solutions to complex valve patients.
