Bioabsorbable Stents: These stents are designed to dissolve naturally in the body over time, leaving the artery free of any permanent implants. How the Procedure Works

Stent placement is performed through a small incision, usually in the wrist or groin. A thin catheter with a balloon is guided to the blocked artery. The balloon is then inflated to open the blockage, and the stent is placed to hold the artery open. The balloon is removed, but the stent stays in place — supporting healthy blood flow.

The procedure is quick, safe, and less invasive, and most patients can resume normal activities within a few days.
